"Dear god you're all obsessed."
As anyone in my family will tell you, my interests bounce around fast as flees. And when I say 'interests' I do of course mean obsessions. Lately the order has been: extreme yoyoing (five days), contact juggling (ongoing), truck driving for a living (two days), buying a vintage camper (ongoing), buying a vintage motorcycle (ongoing and sickeningly extreme, this is borderline passion now). The name Hezakiah (A few hours, point of contemplating naming child). Eurythmics (four days, non-stop). Pink Floyd, (A week, ongoing). Communism, (three days, considered moving from democrat). How white-out flakes, (thirty minutes). The movie "The Prestige", (a few days).
All that is from the last week, a few from the last two days.
The most long-lasting of all my interests is that of getting a caddy or a station wagon, or a nasty old creeper-van. (Since I was about five).
